Wharf T&T Appoints Artist Kenny Kwan as the Spokesperson and Launches the Latest iVOICEMAIL Service

Wharf T&T officially announces the appointment of Kenny Kwan - artist of Emperor Entertainment Group, to be its spokesperson. This is the first time Wharf T&T has collaborated with the young celebrity to co-produce the music video for his new song 'The Prophet' (先知), in an all-out effort to implement its Internet Protocol (IP) - based business strategy. Meanwhile, Wharf T&T also introduces its latest innovation - iVOICEMAIL service - for its local residential customers. This value-added service represents a breakthrough to the traditional method of receiving voice messages via telephones. The new service, together with Wharf T&T's advanced DIGITAL HOMELINE service, further enhances the quality of life for its customers.

Kenny attends the press conference and personally demonstrates Wharf T&T's robust innovation - iVOICEMAIL, the latest value-added service of DIGITAL HOMELINE service. Meanwhile, the music video of Kenny's new pop song 'The Prophet' (先知), marked the first collaboration of Wharf T&T and the young star, is premiered. The content and background setting of the music video incorporate the elements of the two services, fully revealing how Wharf T&T creates an advanced digital lifestyle for its customers.

"Attracted by Kenny's positive and amicable image, as well as his strong IT background, Wharf T&T appoints Kenny as its spokesperson. Undoubtedly, he is the most suitable celebrity to help promote our IP-based DIGITAL HOMELINE service, and the newly launched iVOICEMAIL service - a value-added service for its residential customers. Kenny's crystal-clear voice is comparable to the superb voice delivered through DIGITAL HOMELINE service," says Mr. Tony Cheung Tung-lan, Vice President of Consumer Market, Wharf T&T.

iVOICEMAIL service, the first-of-its-kind in the Hong Kong residential fixed line market, allows users to receive voice messages through telephones and e-mails simultaneously. When a voice message is received, customers will immediately be alerted both from the phone and e-mail, ensuring that no voice message is missed. This service is more superb than any other traditional voice message services available in the market. Other than listening to the voice messages through telephone, customers can receive messages via e-mails anytime and anywhere in Hong Kong or abroad. While breaking the geographical constraint, such service dramatically slims down the expenses for long distance calls. In the case of receiving messages via e-mail, customers could select messages according to their own priority, unlike the traditional way of message receipt by listening in sequence. Furthermore, the related messages could be saved in WAV file format either for outgoing emails or for permanent storage in computer. Besides, customers could opt for iFax service. Whenever a fax is received, double alerts would be sent to the user's mobile phone and e-mail account immediately. Customers could simultaneously receive the fax via the fax machine and e-mail anywhere and anytime.

Mr. Cheung adds, "Kenny's latest pop song 'The Prophet' (先知) foretells the strength of iVOICEMAIL and iFax, which can deliver quicker messages to the customers, allowing them to get the messages at the earliest opportunity. Under competitive circumstances, this enables them to handle both personal and business matters at ease. Meanwhile, the new service also signifies that Wharf T&T has formally stepped into the age of Internet Protocol (IP), providing customers with digital lifestyle in the real world. More importantly, Wharf T&T employs i-CABLE's exclusive network and bandwidth, providing high quality voice service to its customers with assured voice stability. Indeed, Wharf T&T's service greatly differs from the currently available broadband phone services delivered via third party's network and public Internet infrastructure".

Customers who have successfully subscribed for the DIGITAL HOMELINE service, are entitled to a six-month free iVOICEMAIL service. In order to let other family members who are mobile users share the joy of using this robust innovation of iVOICEMAIL service, customers of iVOICEMAIL service and DIGITAL HOMELINE service can apply iVOICEMAIL on Mobile service at an attractive fee.
