Wharf T&T Attains ISO 9001 and ISO 10002 Certification
Reinforces its Commitment to World-Class Service Quality

Wharf T&T today announced that its Customer Service Operations has been awarded the ISO 10002:2004 certification and ISO 9001:2000 certification. Wharf T&T is the first telecommunications company awarded ISO 10002 by SGS Hong Kong Limited, representing its commitment to stringent quality control and to be a high quality and reliable business partner for the business community in Hong Kong and grow with their businesses.

ISO 10002 is one of the most updated and systematic international customer service management systems in the world. It provides guidance for organizations in the planning, design, operation, maintenance and continuous improvement in different elements of customer service and operations arena.

To obtain ISO 10002 and ISO 9001 certification, Wharf T&T has to meet all stringent requirements for ISO compliance and demonstrated the service excellence in our customer service and operations to manage and implement a systematic approach and procedure for total quality management.

According to Mr. Jeremy Poon, Principal Consultant of Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), it is encouraging to see more companies adopt international quality management standards. "HKPC is committed to assisting local enterprises to attain globally recognized quality standards. Since 1990's, HKPC has organised more than 1000 seminars, training and conference on quality management for various industries," Mr. Poon said.

In addition to the ISO 10002 and ISO 9001certification to Customers Service Operations, Wharf T&T Network division and COL data centre have also attained ISO 9001 certification in 2004.
